The famous green cake with cream, vanilla custard and marzipan - a classic Swedish celebration cake.
Instructions
Bake sponge cake and slice horizontally into 3 even layers
Cook vanilla custard using milk, egg yolks and cornstarch until thick
Whip heavy cream to stiff peaks
Layer sponge with custard and whipped cream
Form dome shape using remaining whipped cream
Roll out green-colored marzipan and drape over cake
Decorate with marzipan rose and dust with powdered sugar
