Instructions
Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease a 26cm (10-inch) springform pan and dust with flour.
Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Mix flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder together. Alternately fold the dry ingredients and milk into the butter mixture.
Fold in the chopped chocolate. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
Bake for about 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out with just a few moist crumbs.
Let cake cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
